Here are the following pages that you will receive with your kit!

HANDOUT GAMES – play with included engine handouts

Can You Show Me…?

(Tune: “Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush”)

Can you show me the black engine?

Black engine, black engine?

Can you show me the black engine?

And wave it in the air?

Red… blue… green… purple

Hold It High – Choose one engine from handouts

Hold your engine high and stand

Now wave it around in gestures grand!

Hold your engine below your chin

Now hold it way up high again

Hold your engine against your nose

Now touch the engine to your toes

Touch your engine to the ground

Now wave that engine all around!

Hold your engine in front of you

Now turn around – one time, two!

Hold your engine and jump up high!

Now let your engine fly fly fly (throw it in the air)

SONGS & INSTRUMENT – use included instruments

BOUNCE RHYME (bounce along with child in lap)

Ride the Train

(Tune: “Row Your Boat”)

Ride, ride, ride the train

Quickly down the track.

Clickety, clickety, clickety clack

When will you be back?

Up up up the hill

Train is slowing down

Clickety, clickety, clickety clack

Make sure to look around

Down down down the hill

Train is going fast!

Clickety, clickety, clickety clack

Make the whistle blast!

ACTION RHYMES

The Good Morning Train

(Tune: “She’ll Be Coming Round the Mountain”)

The Good Morning Train is coming

How are you? Choo! Choo!

The Good Morning Train is coming

How are you? Choo! Choo!

The Good Morning Train is coming

The Good Morning Train is coming

The Good Morning Train is coming

How are you? Choo! Choo!

Let’s say Hello to (Child’s name)

How are you? Choo! Choo!

Let’s say Hello to (Child’s name)

How are you? Choo! Choo!

Let’s say Hello to (Child’s name)

Let’s say Hello to (Child’s name)

Let’s say Hello to (Child’s name)

How are you? Choo! Choo!

Train

This is a choo-choo train

(Bend elbows)

Puffing down the track

(Move arms forward)

Now it’s going forward

(Push arms forward)

Now it’s going back

(Push arms back)

Now the bell is ringing

(Pretend to ring bell)

Now the whistle blows

(Hold fist near mouth and pretend to blow)

What a lot of noise it makes

Everywhere it goes.

(Cover ears with hands)

Five Train Engines

Five train engines rolling down the track.

One little engine is very, very black.

Four train engines admiring the view.

One little engine is very, very blue.

Three train engines see a mountain up ahead.

One train engine was very, very red.

Two train engines now going very slow.

One little engine is very, very, yellow.

One train engine, the prettiest that I’ve seen.

That little engine is very, very green!

This Little Train

The little train ran up the track

(run fingers up arm)

Toot, toot, toot

(make train noises)

And then it came toot-tooting back

(run fingers down arm)

Toot, toot, toot!

(make train noises)
