Blue… purple… pink… gray

BOUNCE RHYME (bounce along with child in lap)
A-Sledding We Will Go
(Tune: “The Farmer in the Dell”)
A-sledding we will go.
A-sledding we will go.
We’ll hold on tight and sit just right,
And down the hill we’ll go!
A-sledding we will go.
A-sledding we will go.
We’ll bounce up high, up to the sky
And down the hill we’ll go!
A-sledding we will go.
A-sledding we will go.
We’ll go so fast it’ll barely last
As down the hill we’ll go!
ACTION RHYMES
Once There Was a Snowman
(Tune: “Have You Ever Seen a Lassie”)
Once there was a snowman,
A snowman, a snowman.
Oh once there was a snowman,
So tall, tall, tall, tall.
(reach up as tall as you can)
In the snow he melted
(start to melt to the ground)
He melted, he melted.
In the snow, he melted,
So small, small, small, small.
(curl up as small as you can)
The Snowkey Pokey
You put your mittens in, you put your mittens out.
You put your mittens in and you shake them all about.
You do the snowkey pokey and you turn yourself around.
That’s what it’s all about.
...knit hat, scarf, carrot nose, snow boots...
I’m a Little Snowman
(Tune: “I’m a Little Teapot”)
I’m a little snowman, short and fat,
Here are my eyes and here is my hat.
(point to eyes and hat)
I love to play with children, dogs, and cats,
(make pretend whiskers)
And catch (clap) some snowflakes just like that!
(put hands out to catch snowflakes)
I’m a little snowman, made of snow
Here are my buttons, all in a row.
(point to buttons)
When the sun comes out I cannot play.
(hold arms over your head to make a sun)
I just slowly melt away.
(melt to the floor)
Five Little Snowmen
Five little snowmen on a winter’s day.
(hold up 5 fingers)
The first one said, “Wake up so we can play.”
(hold up 1 finger and pretend to wake up)
The second one said, “Let’s stomp on the ground.”
(hold up 2 fingers and stomp on the ground)
The third one said, “Let’s roll around.”
(hold up 3 fingers and roll your arms)
The fourth one said, “Let’s run and run and run.”
(hold up 4 fingers and pretend to run)
The fifth one said, “I’m afraid I feel the sun.”
(hold up 5 fingers and look towards the sun)
“Oh dear,” cried the snowmen,
(put hands to face)
As they looked towards the sky,
(look towards the sky)
And the five melting snowmen waved a fond goodbye.
(wave goodbye)
