Can You Show Me…?
(Tune: “Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush”)
Can you show me the orange book?
Orange book, orange book?
Can you show me the orange book?
And wave it in the air?
Brown… red… blue… green
Hold It High – Choose one book from handouts
Hold your book high and stand
Now wave it around in gestures grand!
Hold your book below your chin
Now hold it way up high again
Hold your book against your nose
Now touch the book to your toes
Touch your book to the ground
Now wave that book all around!
Hold your book in front of you
Now turn around – one time, two!
Hold your book and jump up high!
Now let your book fly fly fly (throw it in the air)
SONGS & INSTRUMENT – use included instruments
Kindness is Magic by Enchanted Scribbles
Be Kind, Shine Bright! by Crystal Clear Learning
Show Kindness! by Jack Hartmann
K-I-N-D by Stephanie Leavell
BOUNCE RHYME (bounce along with child in lap)
Friend of Mine
(Tune: Mary Had A Little Lamb)
Will you be a friend of mine,
Friend of mine, friend of mine?
Will you be a friend of mine,
And bounce around with me?
…and swing down low with me?
…and jump up high with me?
…and wiggle your fingers with me?
…and clap your hands with me?
ACTION RHYMES
Kindness Begins With Me
I want to be kind to everyone
(hands out)
For that is right, you see
(goggles on eyes)
So I say to myself, “Remember this”
(finger to temple, like “idea”)
“Kindness begins with me”
(point to self)
Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear
Teddy bear, teddy bear, turn around.
Teddy bear, teddy bear, touch the ground.
Teddy bear, teddy bear, jump up high.
Teddy bear, teddy bear, touch the sky.
Teddy bear, teddy bear, wiggle your nose.
Teddy bear, teddy bear, touch your toes.
Teddy bear, teddy bear, nod your head.
Teddy bear, teddy bear, go to bed.
Teddy bear, teddy bear, turn out the light.
Teddy bear, teddy bear, say “Good night.”
Teddy bear, teddy bear, peekaboo.
Teddy bear, teddy bear, I love you!
The Pledge of Kindness
I pledge to myself on this very day
To try to be kind in every way
To every person, big or small
I will help them if they fall
When I love myself and others, too
That is the best that I can do
If You’re Friendly…
(Tune: “If you’re happy and you know it”)
If you’re friendly and you know it,
clap your hands.
If you’re friendly and you know it,
clap your hands.
If you’re friendly and you know it,
and you really want to show it,
If you’re friendly and you know it,
clap your hands!
…stomp your feet!
…wave hello!
The More We Get Together
(Tune: Did You Ever See a Lassie?)
The more we get together,
Together, together,
The more we get together,
The happier we’ll be.
Because your friends are my friends
And my friends are your friends
The more we get together,
The happier we’ll be.
The more we share together...
The more we play together...
